About this website
Balakrishna Jewellery · Stadium is a shop, first and always. This website exists to introduce our family, our craft and our savings schemes — not to sell over the internet. There is no cart, no online checkout and no card payment on these pages. Everything here is meant to end in the same place it always has: a conversation, and a visit to the counter on Coimbatore Road. Photographs, weights and availability shown on the site are illustrative; the piece in your hand at the shop is the only binding one.
Gold rate & pricing
The gold rate published on this site is indicative and updated by hand — treat it as a guide, not a quotation. The final price of any piece is confirmed at the shop on the day of purchase, calculated as the day's 22-carat rate × the weight of the piece + making charge + GST, and recorded in full on your receipt. We do not discount the price of gold. The only concession we ever offer is a making-charge waiver on selected pieces, announced from time to time.
Savings schemes
Our savings schemes — the Penkutty Plan and the others — are advance-payment plans against the future supply of jewellery. They are not deposits, and they pay no interest. Each is structured to comply with the Companies Act, 2013 and the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019. The complete terms of any scheme — its tenure, the contribution, what is locked and what is not, and what happens if you pause or withdraw — are set out in a written agreement you sign at the time of enrolment. That agreement, not this page, is the governing document.
Hallmarking & exchange
Every gold piece sold at Balakrishna · Stadium is BIS Hallmarked at 916 standard or higher, and its six-digit HUID is verified with you at the counter. Each piece is exchangeable for its full gold value at the prevailing rate of the day, for life. The making charge of the original purchase is not refunded on exchange, and pieces are valued in the condition they are presented — damaged or altered pieces are assessed on their actual gold content.
Intellectual property
The photographs, written text, motifs and the marks on this site are the property of the shop and its agency, and may not be copied, reproduced or used elsewhere without written permission. The Stadium descriptor is used to distinguish this shop from the separately operated Balakrishna Jewellery of the same name; the two businesses are not connected.
Limitation of liability
The information on this site is offered in good faith and kept as accurate as we can, but it is not a warranty. Gold rates move, stock changes, and now and then a detail here will lag the shop. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the website alone — the receipt and the signed scheme agreement are what bind us. Nothing on this page limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms, and any dealing that begins on this site, are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is addressed first at the shop, in person, over tea if it comes to that. If it cannot be settled there, it falls to the jurisdiction of the courts at Palakkad, Kerala.
